The focal-plane shutter is mechanical, with a top speed of 1/750th of a second and flash sync at 1/60th of a second. It was introduced to the United States in 1979. It effectively replaced the Fujica ST605n, replicating most of the specifications of that camera, but with the new Fujinon X bayonet lens mount in place of the ST605n’s M42 screw thread. The Fujica STX-1 was marketed by Fuji during the late 1970s and early 1980s and was their entry-level SLR during that time. It should be noted that whilst everything appears to function and has been tested to confirm, this 35mm camera has not been filmed tested. The case does have a damaged popper on the rear of the camera. The lens is the Fujinon 1:19 f-50mm FM by Fuji Film Japan.
